And the best bit? There’s no need to grapple with thermals and stomp out into the frostbitten night - you can snuggle down and see the whole riveting spectacle from the comfort of your bed in your glass-ceilinged igloo. But then the Nordic gods flick on the northern lights above and ribbons of green float through the sky like a disco in the heavens. In the frozen hush of a winter’s night on a Lappish fell or the shores of a forest-rimmed lake far north of the Arctic Circle, you’re just about to doze off on your reindeer hide. ![]()
